Ah, back home again. Ok, so it might only be for about 23 hours, but it's still great to be back. I love playing in Rochester. I played a smaller acoustic show around Thanksgiving, but it's been a while since I had a chance to rock out a big room with the whole band. I want to say thank you to everyone who came out. You guys were so mad dope.
So right before I went on stage the Mayor of Rochester came up on stage and surprised me by naming March 19, 2006 "Teddy Geiger Day." He also presented me with a plaque for my single going gold. So the show was off to a pretty good start right off the bat. The crowd was so into it and we had a chance to jam out on a few songs. During "Seven Days Without You" we broke into a sick reggae jam. I told everyone the story about Evan and I working out on the road in our purple shirts and gold shorts. It was a hit. Though the visual image of Evan might be disturbing, it's a classic. All in all it was a pretty much the best Teddy Geiger Day that I ever had.
After the show I had to hop right on a plane and come back to New York. I'm chillin in my hotel in Times Square now and the bright lights outside remind me of that "Seinfeld" episode where the Kenny Rogers Rotisserie restaurant neon sign keeps Kramer up all night. That's another classic. Possibly more classic than me in short shorts.
Tomorrow I film my performance for The Late Show with David Letterman. That's so crazy. I used to watch him all the time, so I'm pumped to check out the stage and meet Letterman and everything. That theater is like legendary. It's insane. That airs Wednesday, so watch it! Oh yea, the album comes out tomorrow, which is a minor detail I wanted to mention. Are you kidding!? I've been wanting to release a record my whole life, and now today it will be out. I have to say a huge thanks to all the people that were involved with making the album. It's going to be fun seeing what happens!
Until then, keep coming back to the site to check out videos, pics and all that good stuff.
Much Love
Teddy
